Selecting models to compare in the repository

Comparison is a PowerDesigner feature available on your local machine with local and repository models.

The Comparison feature is fully documented in the General Features Guide manual.

For more information on the comparison feature, see section Comparing models in the Comparing and Merging models chapter of the General Features Guide.

When you have the repository installed on your machine, the comparison feature lets you:

Compare different models existing in the repository
Compare different versions of the same model existing in the repository
Compare a model on your local machine with a model in the repository

WARNING!

Comparing models of the same type
You have to select models of the same type. PowerDesigner does not compare models of different types.
