Chapter 4 Administrating repository users
When you create a group, you have to define rights for this group.
The same rights apply to groups and users.
For more information on repository rights, see section Understanding user rights in the repository.
Group rights are always added to individual user rights, they never restrict the rights granted to a user. In the same way, when you insert a group into another group, the rights of the parent group are added to the rights of the sub-group.
For example, the group Designers has the right to freeze and lock versions in the current repository. If you add into this group a user who is also allowed to manage branches, this user keeps his rights and also obtains the right to freeze and lock versions.
