Connecting automatically to the default repository

You can define a general option to connect to the default repository when you start a PowerDesigner session.

What is the default repository?

The default repository is the last repository to which you connected successfully. Repository connection parameters are saved in the Registry.

By default, when you start PowerDesigner, the repository is not connected.

However, you can set an auto-connect option to automatically connect to the repository when you start a PowerDesigner session.

Steps To automatically connect to the default repository:

  1. Select Tools→General Options.

    The General Options dialog box opens to the General pages.
  2. Select the Repository node from the Category tree view.

    The Repository page appears.
  3. Select the Auto-connect check box in the Connection group box.
  4. Click OK.
