Chapter 7 Consolidating documents in the repository
The PowerDesigner consolidation feature lets you select one or several documents to consolidate into the repository.
When you change the DBMS or target language of an already consolidated model, it is impossible to update this model in the repository. Although the Update mode is selected by default, a message box appears when the local and repository models are compared to warn you that it is impossible to update the repository document.
This does not happen if you change DBMS or target language and select a DBMS or a language in the same family as the origin DBMS or language (for example you change from XML DTD to XML Schema).
