Chapter 3 Using the PowerDesigner Interface

Defining favorite tabs

You can define as favorite tabs the property tabs you often use in the property sheet of an object. The Customize Favorite Tabs sub-menu displays all the available property tabs of a given object type. By default, whatever the object, only favorite tabs are displayed when you open a property sheet. These are the common properties, which are checked and automatically belong to the list of favorite tabs in the Customize Favorite Tabs sub-menu.

For more information about common properties, see the "Customizing a property sheet" section.

Note   Display All Tabs for All
You can change the default behavior of displayed tabs by selecting the Display All Tabs for All command in the Customize Favorite Tabs sub-menu. This command allows you to display all tabs for all property sheets throughout all models. To restore the default behavior of displayed tabs, select the Display Favorite Tabs for All command.

However, you may want to define one or more other properties as favorite tabs.

Steps To define favorite tabs:

  1. Click a property in the Customize Favorite Tabs sub-menu.

A checkmark is displayed next to the property name.

You can select the Display All Tabs command to restore the display of all available tabs.
