Adding parent table columns to a key

You can add existing columns in the parent table to a primary key or an alternate key.

To add parent table columns to a key:

1. From the General page for a key, click the Columns tab.
   
   The Columns page appears. It lists the columns defined for the key.
2. Click the Add Columns tool.
   
   A selection box appears. It lists the columns available for selection in the parent table.
3. Select one or more columns.
4. Click OK.
   
   The new column names appear in the list of columns defined for the key.
5. Click OK on each of the dialog boxes.
