Chapter 12 Working with Web Services
Web parameters are child objects of Web operations. They are part of the SQL statement defined in the Implementation page of a Web operation property sheet. They are listed in the Parameters page of a Web operation property sheet. (See Web operation parameters list)
To display a Web parameter property sheet, you can:
The General page of a Web parameter property sheet displays the following properties:
Property | Description |
---|---|
Name | Name of the Web parameter |
Code | Code of the Web parameter |
Comment | Descriptive label for the Web parameter |
Stereotype | Sub-classification used to extend the semantics of an object without changing its structure; it can be predefined or user-defined |
Web Operation | Name of the Web operation containing the Web parameter |
Parameter Type | Select in if you want the Web parameter to be an input parameter. Select in/out if you want the Web parameter to be both an input and output parameter. Select out if you want the Web parameter to be an output parameter |
Data Type | Only available with IBM DB2.
Select an XML schema data type from the dropdown listbox, or click the Select Object tool to open a selection dialog box where you select a global element in an XML model open in the workspace |
Is element | Only available with IBM DB2.
Checked and greyed when a global element is attached to a Web parameter |
