Chapter 12 Working with Web Services
In PowerDesigner, Web services are made of Web operations which themselves contain Web parameters and Result columns:
These objects have no symbol, but they appear in the Browser tree view.
This structure is compatible with the definition of Web services in Sybase ASA 9 and IBM DB2 v8.1.
You can import a Web service as a service provider in the BPM to define the links between a concrete implementation and the abstract definition of service interfaces and operations.
For more information on how to import a Web service into a BPM, see section Importing and exporting service providers in chapter Building an Executable BPM: Working with Service Description Objects in the BPM User's Guide .
