Chapter 7 Customizing the OOM Environment
To set display preferences for messages, select Tools→Display Preferences, and select the Message sub-category in the left-hand Category pane.
| Preference | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Displays the name of the message. |
| Replace by operation name | If the Show Name option is selected, and the message is linked to an operation, the name of the operation is displayed instead of the name of the message. |
| Sequence expression | Displays the message predecessor list, sequence number, and condition. |
| Signature | Displays the message arguments and return value. |
| Stereotype | [Sequence diagram only] Displays the stereotype of the message. |
| Time | [Sequence diagram only] Displays the begin and end times. |
| Activation attachment | [Sequence diagram only] Displays an endpoint at the intersection of the message and the activation. |
