Creating a domain in a CDM
There are several ways to create a domain:
- From the list of domains
- From the Browser
At creation, a domain has a default name including a number. This number is assigned in the order of creation of objects.

To create a domain in a CDM from the list of domain:
- Select Model→Domains to display the list of domains.
- Click a blank line in the list.
or
Click the Add a Row tool.
An arrow appears at the beginning of the line.
- Type a domain name and a domain code.
- Click Apply.
- Click the Properties tool.
or
Double-click the arrow at the beginning of the line.
- Select a data type from the dropdown listbox.
- Specify length and precision as required.
- Click OK in each of the dialog boxes.
