Creating a folder

Folders are not automatically created in PowerDesigner.

To create a new folder:

1. Right-click the root or the folder where you want to create a new folder and select New→Folder.
   
   The new folder is created below the selected item in the tree structure.
2. Type a name in the highlighted area. Folder names must be unique in the folder hierarchy, which implies that a child folder cannot have the same name as the parent folder.

Renaming a folder

You modify the folder property from the Model Explorer.

To rename a folder:

1. Right-click the folder to rename and select Rename.
   
   or
   
   Select the folder and press F2 to edit the name in place.
