Selecting resource files for merging
You can select two resource files and merge them. Merging means that you use information from a given resource file to modify another resource file.
Once you access the Merge resource files
dialog box, the merge is performed from left to right: the resource file in the left pane is used as a reference and the resource file to be merged is in the right pane. The changes to the resource file in the right pane depend on the selected merge actions.
To select resource files for merging:
- Select Tools→Resources→Resource File
.
The list of resource files appears.
- Select a resource file in the list. The selected file is going to be displayed in the right pane of the Merge dialog box. You will select merge actions on this file.
- Click the Merge tool.

to Merge dialog box appears. The selected resource file appears in the To box.
- Select a resource file in the From dropdown listbox. This file that will appear in the left pane of the Merge dialog box.
If the resource file you want to merge is not in the list, click the Select a Path tool and browse to the directory containing the resource file you want. Click OK and select the resource file from the dropdown listbox.
- Click OK.
