Attaching a file object to a PowerDesigner object using the contextual menu of the PowerDesigner object symbol

From the contextual menu of the PowerDesigner object symbol, you can directly choose a file from a standard Open dialog box to create an external file object.

To attach a file object to a PowerDesigner object using the contextual menu of the PowerDesigner object symbol:

Right-click a PowerDesigner object to open its contextual menu.

Select File→Add Files to open a standard Open dialog box.

Select a file and click Open.

The file object symbol is automatically displayed in the diagram linked with an extended dependency to the PowerDesigner object symbol.
