Object comment

A comment describes an object. It provides more information than the name. For example "Organizing projects, employees, budgets" describes the model Project Management.

Comments are optional.

You define the comments of objects on property sheets and lists.

CDM & PDM specifics

For some CDM and PDM objects, you can display their comments in their symbols in the diagram using the Display Preferences dialog box. This is particularly useful when importing a 4.x ERwin model, as the display level of comments in imported objects symbols in PowerDesigner matches the one in ERwin. In addition, this feature facilitates the readability of the object role within the model.
