Understanding the XML language editor

You use the XML language editor to consult or modify an XML language (.XPL file).

Steps To display the XML language editor:

  1. Select Language→Edit Current XML language.

    or

    Select Tools→Resources→XML languages and double-click an existing XML language.

    The XML language Properties page appears.


The XML language editor lets you navigate through the XML language categories and entries. Depending on the selected item, the right side of the page changes. The name Metaclass is used in the PowerDesigner documentation to identify an object as a metaclass. Metaclasses in the tree view of the resource editor are categories.
