Creating an extended collection

Steps To create an extended collection:

  1. Right-click a metaclass, or a stereotype and select New→Extended Collection.

    An extended collection is created.
  2. Type a name in the Name box.
  3. (optional) Type an inverse name in the Inverse Name box.
  4. Select a metaclass in the Target Type box.
  5. (optional) Select or type a stereotype for the target metaclass in the Target Stereotype box.
  6. Click Apply or OK.
  7. Open the property sheet of an object of the type of the parent metaclass and click the tab of the extended collection.
  8. Click the Add Object tool to select the objects of the target metaclass that you want to associate with the current object.

    The content of the extended collection list needs to be defined by the user.
  9. Click Apply or OK.
