Setting Miscellaneous Database Development Preferences

Set miscellaneous preferences to define behavior for creating Adaptive Server Enterprise nonsharable temporary tables while editing, running, or saving stored procedures or triggers.

To set Miscellaneous Database Development preferences:

Select Window|Preferences from the main menu bar.

Expand Database Development and select Miscellaneous.

The Miscellaneous preferences screen appears in the right pane.

Field	Explanation
Enable autoexecute SQL statement for temporary table(s)	Select to create nonsharable temporary tables automatically when the SQL statements to create them exist in the stored procedure or trigger. (Default.)
Insert table creation statements as annotations (recommended)	Set the New Temporary Table wizard default behavior to insert the SQL to create the table as a comment in the procedural object definition. This option is selected automatically when Enable autoexecute SQL statement for temporary table(s) is selected.
