To resolve port conflicts for the Monitor database, change the default port number 1099 in the nnsyreg.dat configuration file.
To resolve a Monitor RMI Registry port conflict:
Open the following file using a text editor:
Search for instances of port number 1099.
Replace the default port number with a new, unused Monitor database port number.
Save and close the file.
Close and relaunch Sybase WorkSpace.
