Resolving a Monitor RMI Registry Port Conflict

To resolve port conflicts for the Monitor database, change the default port number 1099 in the nnsyreg.dat configuration file.

To resolve a Monitor RMI Registry port conflict:

  1. Open the following file using a text editor:

    Server Files

    FeatureSybase Developer Edition ServersUnwired Orchestrator Production Edition Server
    Monitor database

    <installation directory>\WorkSpace\DevRuntimes\UO\bin\nnsyreg.dat

    <installation directory>\Orch-5_1\bin\nnsyreg.dat

  2. Search for instances of port number 1099.

  3. Replace the default port number with a new, unused Monitor database port number.

  4. Save and close the file.

  5. Close and relaunch Sybase WorkSpace.
