Securing Unwired Orchestrator Runtime Access Using EAServer

If you opt to use Sybase EAServer security for Unwired Orchestrator runtime, you must set up user access using EAServer Manager. EAServer installs with a CSISecurityAdmin role and a jagadmin user.

Note

You have the option of setting up additional users for the CSISecurityAdmin role. However, you will lose the capability of authentication in the Security Console as user passwords will not be checked.

To enable authorization and authentication in the Security Console, use the jagadmin user.

To secure runtime access using EAServer:

  1. Open EAServer Manager. Select Start|Programs|Sybase|Sybase WorkSpace|EAServer 5.3|EAServer Manager from the Windows Start menu.

  2. Use the EAServer collection under Sybase WorkSpace Server Administration for instructions on setting the password for jagadmin user.

  3. Set the EAServer Security Configuration in the Runtime Management Console. See Using EAServer Runtime Security in the Runtime Managment Console help for instructions.
