Connecting to the Sybase WorkSpace UDDI Server

Connect to the UDDI Registry using the Enterprise Explorer.

To connect to the UDDI Registry server:

  1. Start the Sybase WorkSpace UDDI Registry.

  2. Open the following file and note the port number in use:

    <installation directory>\DevRuntimes\EAServer\Repository\Listener\Jaguar_http.props

    Note

    The port number varies depending on the number of EAServer installations you have running at installation.

  3. Create a UDDI Registry connection profile using the following information:

    UDDI Connection Details

    PropertyDescription

    Commonly used registries

    Sybase Private Test Registry

    Inquiry URL

    1. Replace localhost with the machine name or IP address from the Jaguar_http.props file, using the following format:

      http://localhost:8080/uddi-server/inquiry

    2. Replace the port number with the Jaguar_http.props port number.

    Publish URL

    1. Replace localhost with the machine name or IP address from the Jaguar_http.props file, using the following format:

      http://localhost:8080/uddi-server/publish

    2. Replace the port number with the Jaguar_http.props port number.

    User ID

    Enter jagadmin.

    Password

    Use a null password. Leave blank.

The UDDI Registry connection profile automatically connects to the UDDI registry server chen you click Finish.
