Creating Multiple Adaptive Server Enterprise Databases

To faciltate the process of using multiple Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) databases in a production environment, Unwired Orchestrator provides a set of database scripts.

Note

Creating multiple ASE databases requires expert knowledge in database administration. Without this expertise, Sybase recommends using the default ASA production edition database. See Guidelines for Creating Multiple ASA Databases for more information.

To create multiple ASE databases:

Install the number of ASE databases that you plan to use.
See the Adaptive Server Enterprise Installation Guide on the Getting Started CD for instructions.

Complete the database configuration process. Run the following scripts:

BAM Dashboard Scripts

File	Description
`dashboard_part1.sql`	Creates the database objects for the BAM Dashboard.
`dashboard_drop.sql`	Drops the objects created by the `dashboard_part1.sql` script.

Monitor Console Scripts

File	Description
`monitor_part1.sql`	Creates the tables, views, indexes, and table relations for the Monitor database.
`monitor_part2.sql`	Creates the procedures and triggers for the Monitor database.
`monitor_drop.sql`	Drops the objects created by the `monitor_part1.sql` scripts.

Quartz Scripts

File	Description
`quartz_create.sql`	Creates the database objects for the BPEE/BPRE/Quartz timer database.
`quartz_drop.sql`	Drops the objects created by the `quartz_create.sql` script.
`quartz_cleanup.sql`	Cleans up the Quartz timer data that exists in the BPEE/BPRE/Quartz timer database.
