You can stop the Developer Edition servers except Adaptive Server Anywhere (ASA) from the following locations:
Windows Start menu
Command line
The list of available servers are dependent on your installation type.
You stop ASA from the Windows icon tray.

For supported servers not installed with Sybase WorkSpace, such as Sybase IQ 12.6, see your server's SyBooks CD or SyBooks Online for product documentation, including instructions on stopping the server.
If you installed Sybase WorkSpace and the Sybase Developer Edition Servers on the same machine, you can also stop the Sybase Developer Edition Servers using the External Tools feature in the main menu bar.
To stop the servers from the Windows Start menu:

Stop the Adaptive Server Anywhere developer edition server or the Adaptive Server Anywhere developer edition server with Web Services support from the Windows icon tray.
To stop Adaptive Server Anywhere:
Disconnect the ASA connection profile. In the Enterprise Explorer or the Database Explorer, right-click the ASA connection profile and select Disconnect from the context menu.
Double-click the ASA icon located in the Icon Tray to open the ASA console.
Click Shutdown.
