If a processing node within a cluster fails due to hardware or software issues, an alternate or backup processing node within the cluster can continue executing the application to mitigate failover. Additionally, you can optimize performance by scaling event requests across processing nodes within a cluster.
To enable clustering, host Unwired Orchestrator 5.1 components on multiple EAServer application servers.
Within a cluster, if a business process is exposed over multiple file transports, consider the following:
Improved performance will not occur. Primary nodes have access to the inbound transport, leaving the secondary nodes locked-out.
High availability/failover can be successfully achieved. If the primary node is down, the secondary nodes do take over.
