Securing Access to the Web Based Security Console

Use EAServer Manager to set up user access to the Security Console in the Runtime Management Console. EAServer installs with a CSISecurityAdmin role and a jagadmin user. To enable authorization and authentication in the Security Console, use the jagadmin user.

Note

You have the option of setting up additional users for the CSISecurityAdmin role. However, you will lose the capability of authentication in the Security Console as user passwords will not be checked.

To secure access to the Web-based Security Console:

Open EAServer Manager. Select Start | Programs | Sybase | Sybase WorkSpace | EAServer 5.2 | EAServer Manager from the Windows Start menu.
Use the EAServer 5.2 Core Documentation located under the Sybase WorkSpace Server Administration collection for instructions on setting the password for jagadmin user.
