When configuring a container or field, you must define a literal value if the Termination Type property is set to one of the following values:
Delimiter
Minimum Length & Delimiter
Minimum Length & White Space
To enter a delimiter value for a delimited container or field:
In the WorkSpace Navigator of the Service Development perspective, expand the project that contains the message definition you want to work with.
Expand MessageDesigns, then expand MessageDefinitions.
Double-click the message definition. The message definition has a .wfm extension.
The message definition opens in the Message Definition Editor.
Select the Message Details tab.
In the Message Definition section, select the container or field you want to work with.
Do one of the following:
To enter a delimiter value for a container:
In the Container Properties section, expand the Termination
Type property, select its Delimiter Value subproperty, and click
.
To enter a tag value for a field:
In the Field Properties section, expand the Termination
Type property, select its Delimiter Value subproperty, and click
.
The Value and Type Settings dialog box appears.
Choose one of the following from the Type menu:
Select String if you are entering the delimiter value as a character string, for example, ;;.
Select Binary if you are entering the tag value in hexadecimal notation, for example, 3b3b.
In the Enter delimiter value field, enter the literal tag that identifies the field or container, for example, ;; or 3b3b.
Click OK.
