Connecting to the Monitor Database

Before you can create a monitor service, you must create a user profile to connect to the runtime database for monitoring. User profile information is stored and ready for use for future logins.

Note

If you close the Monitor Design perspective at any time, you will need to log in to the database again.

To create a monitor connection profile:

  1. Open the Monitor Design perspective.

  2. Connect to the Monitor database:

    1. Open the Login window. Choose from the following:

      • Select File|New|Monitor Design from the menu bar.

      • Right-click in the WorkSpace Navigator and select New|Monitor Design.

    2. Select the project in which you plan to use the monitor service, and click Next.

      The Login page appears.

    3. Type a value for each of the following fields:

      Note

If the fields are not displayed, click Details>>.
