Edit setType field properties using the Properties view in the Monitor Design perspective.
To edit field properties:
In the Editor view, expand the SetType | Fields category.
Select the field definition that you want to edit.
The <FieldName> Information displays in the Properties view.
Edit any of the following values. Enter a value, or select an option from the drop-down list.
Field Properties
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
Field Type | Specifies whether the field type is string, numeric, or rate. The selection determines the associated values. |
String | Defines the field type as string. |
Numeric | Defines the field types as Numeric, and requires that you enter the number of decimal places for the field. |
Rate | Defines the increments of time (measured per second, per minute, per hour, or per other defined increment) used to calculate the rate, and requires that you enter the number of decimal places, rate unit, and the time averaged over a period in the appropriate fields. |
Averaged Over Time Period | Defines the sample size for which the field values are averaged. |
