Troubleshooting Connection Problems with an External JMS Provider

Problem: Connection to an external JMS provider does not work properly.

Solution: Verify the JMS connection profile setup. Do the following:

  1. Open the Enterprise Explorer.

  2. Expand the Message Transports category.

  3. Right-click the <generic JMS connection profile name> and select Properties from the context menu.

  4. In the Properties dialog, select Connection Properties in the right pane.

  5. Verify the following:

    Connection Properties

    FieldDescription

    Driver

    Generic JMS was selected from the drop-down list.

    Provider URL

    The URL address for your external JMS provider is accurate.

    Initial Context Factory

    The Initial Context Factory for your external JMS provider is accurate.

    User Name

    The user name to access your external JMS provider is accurate.

    Password

    The user name password for your external JMS provider is accurate.

  6. Click OK to save your changes and close the dialog.
