Use the XPath work area to modify an XPath. The primary purpose of XPath is to address parts of an XML document. It also provides basic facilities for string, number, and boolean manipulation.
Using the XPath work area, you can:
Double-click in the selection list below the text edit control to insert or replace the XPath node at the cursor position.
Use the toolbar, which is enabled only if the cursor in the text edit is positioned over a repeating element in the XPath, to insert or replace an index expression for the item at the cursor position.
Press .(period) Shift to view all operations.
Type the first letter of the operation you want to see to view all operations beginning with that letter.
Click OK to accept the changes and replace the XPath in the calling editor.
