An And Split is an inclusive split that allows two or more paths to be taken simultaneously. An And Split can appear anywhere in the business process that you want activities performed concurrently rather than in sequence. Use a Join to merge the activities.
To create an And Split:
Click on the Business Process Diagram canvas to activate the Tool Palette.
If the Tool Palette does not appear on the Fast View shortcut bar or in the perspective, open the Tool Palette.
From the Logic tool palette, drag the And Split activity and drop it onto the canvas.
Connect the And Split to the appropriate input activity.
Connect the appropriate activities to the output of the And Split.
The number of activities that you link to the And Split output must be two or more.
