Use the New Services Package Profile wizard to create a package profile. Creating the services package profile is one of the steps involved in developing an EAServer 5.x services package profile. Only Java services can be used to create this package profile.
All Java services deployed to an EAServer 5.x container are public services that use SOAP over HTTP.
To create an EAServer 5.x services package profile:
In the Service Development perspective, select File|New|Other.. from the menu bar. Expand the Sybase node, select EAServer 5.x Services Package Profile, and click Next. For other ways to access the New wizard, see Methods of Accessing New Wizards.
The New Service wizard opens.
Select the project where the new EAServer 5.x services package profile will be created.
Name the package profile with a unique and descriptive name and click Next.
Enter a description for the package profile and click Next. A description is optional but will help with re-use.
From the Contents page, select the Java services to be included in the package.
Select the checkbox at the project level to select the service from the project. Click Next.
Select checkbox for the Java services to include. Click Next.
The EAServer 5.x Package Profile editor supports only Java services that do not invoke another service. Only one Java service can be used when defining an EAServer 5.x Services Profile Project.
Review the summary of information for the package and choose one of the following:
Click Back to return to any of the wizard pages to make changes to the package profile. Make corrections or changes and proceed through the wizard.
Click Finish to complete the services package profile. The services package profile file (<file name>.axissvcpkgdef) appears in the Workspace Navigator and the Services Package profile editor opens.
