A handler chain is a series of handlers that are called as a single unit. On the Handlers Chain page of the EAServer 5.x Services Package Profile editor, you can specify handler chain details for this package profile. The changes you make during package profile definition are used for this profile only and do not change the basic service. This page has two sections:
| Handler Chains | Displays all of the handler chains included in this package. Select a handler chain in this sectionl before you add, edit, or remove a handler from the chain. |
| Handlers | Displays handlers included in the specified handler chain. Select a handler chain that contains this handler before you add, edit, or remove a handler. |
The Add, Edit, and Remove buttons are active when you select a handler chain in the Handler Chains section or a handler is selected in the Handlers section. A Handlers dialog assists you when you click Add or Edit.
In the Handler Chain section:
To add a handler chain:
In the Handler Chains section, click Add.
The Handlers Chain dialog opens.
Enter a name for the new handlers chain.
Click OK.
In the Handler Chains section, highlight the name of the new handlers chain.
In the Handlers section, click Add.
Enter values for the fields as described in Specifying Handlers for an EAServer 5.x Services Profile Package.
Click OK.
To edit a handler chain:
In the Handler Chains section, highlight the handler chain.
The Handlers Chain dialog opens.
Make changes to the handler chain.
Click OK.
To remove a handler chain:
In the Handler Chains section, highlight the handler chain.
Click Remove.
In the Handler section:
To edit a handler in a handler chain:
In the Handlers section, highlight the handler.
Be sure the Handler Chains section has the correct handler chain highlighted.
Click Edit.
The Handlers dialog opens.
Make changes to any of the fields.
Click OK.
To remove a handler from a handler chain:
In the Handler Chains section, highlight the handler chain.
Click Remove.
