Previewing Devices

You can preview the mobile application as viewed on a mobile device. If you have trouble previewing the device correctly when you right-click the mobile application, it may be because the definition for the mboke application was changed, which causes changes in the column headings. For example, any of these changes can cause column headings to change:

When such a change occurs, you must select the columns you want to display in the List/Detail page again. New columns are not automatically selected.

Problems with device preview can also occur if you are previewing mobile applications from a previous version of WorkSpace. In this case, the mobile application will also be marked as "dirty." This happens because viewer types and the associated templates are saved in the application definition, and this information is used in playing back the mobile application's content. An older mobile application may not carry information of the new viewer types. To show the correct customization on new device types, you must edit and save the mobile application.
