By linking parameters you can set up chained relationships among field/parameter values. This makes it easier to create and update applications.
There can be only one linked application across all parameters that use the linked input type, so setting it once sets it for all linked parameters.
To link parameters
Under your connection profile, in Mobile Applications, double-click the mobile application for which you want to link parameters. The mobile application editor displays.
Click the Parameters tab.
In Source, select the parameter you want to link, and click Edit. The Edit Parameters dialog displays.
In Input Type, select Linked from the drop-down list.
In Component, click Search. This activates the Mobile Application Search dialog. See Using Mobile Application Search.
Select the mobile application to which you want to link. This application is the data source. After you click OK, the linked application displays in the Component field.
Make any additional configuration parameter settings you require, and create or edit your application using regular procedures. See Setting CGI Parameters. Click OK to save the parameter configurations.
