Mobile device users must install the UA client on their device, configure a UA profile, and either an SMS enabled mobile device, or e-mail connection, and synchronize at least one mobile application in order to see mobile profiles.
To add new subscriptions for users:
In Mobile Administration|Users, right-click the user and select List Mobile Profiles to view the mobile profiles for the user.
In the Mobile Profile view, you can perform these actions:
Select a mobile profile and click Show Subscriptions to show the subscriptions for the mobile profile.
Select a mobile profile and click Delete to delete the selected mobile profile.
Click Help to display help.
When you click Show Subscriptions, you can perform these actions in the subscription dialog:
Click Add to activate the Mobile Application Search dialog. See Using Mobile Application Search. Select the desired mobile applications and click OK to add subscriptions for the selected mobile profile.Multiple mobile applications can be subscribed for the mobile profile.
You can add only approved, offline enabled mobile applications that are not yet subscribed to the subscription list of the mobile profile. Newly subscribed mobile applications have push sync enabled, with the sync interval initialized to 0, and Admin unassigned.
Click Edit to activate the Edit Push Sync Information dialog. Use this dialog to edit the push sync information:
Sync Interval (Minutes) – defines the minimum interval of time during which users will have changes pushed out to their device. If you set it to 60, then even if the application data changes every few minutes, the UA server updates the device's data only once an hour.
Push – indicates whether to enable synchronization for the application. If set to Y, synchronization is enabled; if set to N, synchronization is not enabled (you can set up synchronization values in advance, but not enable the process).
Admin Assigned – determines whether a user can override this subscription from their mobile device. If set to Y, the subscription can be edited only by a user with the necessary permissions, and the mobile user cannot change their own subscription from the AppInfo form on their mobile device. If set to N, the user can override the values from the device.
Click OK to close the Edit Push Sync Information window.
Click Delete to delete the selected mobile applications from the server. You can select multiple mobile applications. A confirmation dialog is shown before performing the deletion.
Click Execute to activate an operation on the UA server to check for any changes to the selected mobile application between now and the last time it was synchronized. If there have been changes, the application is pushed to the client for synchronization. Multiple selections are allowed.
Click Device and select Synchronize to force a synchronization of the selected mobile application on the client mobile device. Select Delete to delete the selected mobile application from the mobile device.
Click Preview to preview the selected mobile application.
Click Help to display online help.
