Create a New XSL Template for the Mobile Application

Create a new XSL template to modify the look of your Web service content:

  1. Create a Web Service element using the procedure in Creating Web Service Elements.

  2. Click the New button in the Content XSLT section. The Create Web Service Content XSL Template opens.

  3. In the Create Web Service Content XSL Template wizard, create the new template:

    • Name – enter a name for the XSL template.

    • Output Parameters – select the output parameters to include in the Web service element. Use the Move Up and Move Down buttons to move output parameters up and down within the Web Service element.

Use the Select All and Deselect All buttons to add or remove all output parameters from the Web Service element.

    • Select Node Level That Contains One or More Child Records – business objects often contain multiple records at various node levels. This option enables you to specify the node level to use for a specific record.

    • Roles – select the roles for the runtime version of the mobile application. Use the Select All and Deselect All buttons to add or remove all listed roles.

Click OK in the Create Web Service Content XSL Template dialog. The new XSL template is saved in the Templates|Approved folder.

  4. Continue with the steps in Creating Web Service Elements.
