Adding Form Processing

Form processing allows you to preview a form, identify input fields, assign or create an event name, and assign default autofill values to the form's fields.

Parsing a form for postprocessing:

  1. Right-click the mobile application and select Add Post Processing|Form Parser.

    If the mobile application contains a form, the Form Parser wizard appears.

  2. Complete these options to configure or edit an existing form parser, select the form parser you want to edit, and click Edit. Complete (or verify) these options and click OK when done:

    • Show This Parameter When the Mobile Application Plays – select this checkbox to show this parameter when the mobile application plays back.

    • Name – the name of the form parser.

    • Event Name – the name of the event associated with the form parser. Do not use spaces in event names.

    • Default Value – the event's default value.

    • Input Type – displays the field type.

    • Autofill Adapter – if the field can be filled in using an autofill adapter, select the adapter from the drop-down list.

    • Autofill Key – if the field has a key values, select the appropriate key from the drop-down list.

  3. After clicking OK, you see your changes in the table from which you selected the form parser. You also can configure the following:

    • Notify Now – select this checkbox to broadcast the event and update the listening mobile application.

    • Notify Across Page – select this checkbox to notify listening mobile applications on current and other pages.

  4. Click Preview to preview the mobile application.

  5. Click Finish to exit, and select File|Save to save your changes, or Cancel to exit and ignore changes.
