From the mobile application Mobile tab, you can define certain options that effect a mobile application's deployment. It is available from the mobile application's editor screen. It consists of:
Offline Blackberry – indicates that this application can be used in offline mode. If you are using a BlackBerry device, select this option to make the application viewable on BlackBerry. See "Setting up Applications to be Accessible on the BlackBerry Device" in the Mobile Application Development Tutorial, and Before Deploying Mobile Applications for more information.
Linked Mobile Applications – allows you to update the application's source content from a PDA and link the source application with the update application. See "Creating a Multipage Mobile Application with Transaction Support" in the Mobile Application Development Tutorial. Here is a description of each:
Linked Mobile Applications for Insert and Update
Add – (for insert) click to link a mobile application that inserts new records for this mobile application. The linked mobile application must have parameters.
Add – (for update) click to link a mobile application that updates new records for this mobile application. The linked mobile application must have parameters of update type.
Mobile Application Search – enter criteria and click Search, to search Unwired Accelerator for the mobile application that you are linking. Select the mobile application and click OK to add it. Options include:
Name – limit the search to the name (or part of a name) of a mobile application, or leave blank to search for all mobile applications.
Version – limit the search to a specific version of a mobile application, or leave blank to search for all versions. Select Latest Only to search for the latest version of the mobile application.
Owner – limit the search to a specific owner, or leave blank to search for all owners.
Modified by – limit the search to mobile applications modified by the specified user, or leave blank to search for mobile applications modified by all users.
Edit – (for insert only) select the linked application and click Edit to modify the menu level.
Remove, Remove All, Move Up, Move Down - (for insert only) rearrange and remove linked applications.
A mobile application cannot be linked to itself, and can only be linked once, either for insert or update.
