Different devices require different device type templates, which allow for optimum viewing, navigating, and so on. When you generate a new template, select the device type for which the template is intended.
Dashboard
The Dashboard (or Portal) template is used for standard browsers, such as Internet Explorer. It is the only template that is not for a mobile device. Dashboard uses the JSP template type.
PDA
The PDA template is used for PDA mobile devices (Palm OS, PocketPC, and so on). PDA uses the JSP template type.
BlackBerry 3.7
The BlackBerry 3.7 template is used for BlackBerry devices running BlackBerry 3.7 software. Blackberry 3.7 uses the XSL template type .
BlackBerry 4.0
The BlackBerry 4.0 template is used for BlackBerry devices running BlackBerry 4.0 software. Blackberry 4.0 uses the XSL template type.
WAP-HTML
The WAP-HTML template is used for WAP phone clients that support HTML. WAP-HTML uses the XSL template type.
WAP-WML
The WAP-WML template is used for WAP phone clients that support WML 2.0. WAP-WML uses the XSL template type.
