This section describes how to modify an existing mobile application by adding and modifying elements, CGI parameters, and rules and record layout; as well as modifying the content, presentation, and other details of the mobile application.
Modifying element properties and CGI parameters
From the Mobile Development perspective, double-click the mobile application you want to configure. The mobile application editor view appears.
Click the Definition tab.
Highlight the element of the mobile application that you want to edit and click Edit. The Element Properties dialog displays.
Edit any of the properties of the particular element by selecting them from the left pane, including:
Parameters – see CGI Parameters
Rules – see Rules and Record Layout
Or to add or edit the element properties, see:
Click OK when finished.
Click Preview to preview this element, or use the Preview page of the mobile application to preview of the entire mobile application. See Preview the Mobile Application. Select Remove to remove an element from the mobile application.
Configuring Mobile Application Details
From the Mobile Development perspective, double-click the mobile application to edit.
Click the Edit Mobile Application button
located on the toolbar (or open the edit menu | Configuration window). The Mobile Application
Configuration editor displays. (Other operations can be performed from the toolbar. Move your cursor over the icons
for information about each). Select any of the available options to modify the mobile application, which may include:
Any postprocessing options. From here, you can modify specific postprocessing (or by selecting the postprocessing tab, you can remove or reorder the postprocessing items).
Click Source to view the saved mobile application source file located on the server to which you are connected.
If you make any changes to your mobile application, you must save them for them to take effect. See Saving Your Work.
