Adding Listeners

You can add listeners only to mobile applications with CGI parameters. Mobile applications with listeners must be saved with the Iframe attribute.

The Listener editor allows you assign multiple parameters to event names. The mobile application is saved under its current version number, regardless of whether the global versioning property is turned on.

Creating and adding a listener:

  1. Right-click the mobile application and select Add Post Processing|Listener.

  2. When the Listener wizard displays, click Add and complete these options:

    • Event to Listen – the name of the event.

Do not using spaces in event names.

    • Listener Parameter – select the overridden CGI parameter that you want to associate with the selected event.

    • Auto Submit – when Auto Submit is enabled, a listener mobile application reexecutes when it receives an event. If Auto Submit is disabled, the mobile application does not reexecute immediately.

  3. Click OK to add the association with the selected event.

  4. The event appears under the Defined Listeners. Highlight the listener to Edit or Remove it. Otherwise click Next to go to the Preview screen.

  5. Click Finish.
