The Group Channel wizard allows you to associate the selected approved mobile application with an M-Business group. M-Business users automatically have access to the channel once they are associated with the group. The Group Channel wizard allows you to define these properties:
Title – the title of the group channel. The default is the mobile application's name.
Location – enter the URL to the mobile application's playback location. Click Preview to preview the mobile application at this location.
Group – select a group for this channel from the drop-down list.
Channel Size Limit – the default is 100. This is the maximum size in kilobytes (KB) that the entire channel can consume.
Link Depth – indicates the number of hypertext link levels to traverse when downloading channel content to the device.
Color Depth – indicates to the M-Business server the level of color that it should manage. Select one of the options from the drop-down list. Automatic is the default.
Include Images - select this option to include all the images from the channel.
Follow Offsite Links - select this option to have the M-Business Anywhere server retrieve an HTTP address or other Web-based content from a server other than the one that hosts the channel.
Allow Binary Distribution - select this if the channel is a binary file, for example, an .exe or .dll file.
Hide From Users - hides the channel from the user's list, but still downloads the content, which is useful for "dll" updates.
Override 400 Error Handling - prevents pages that were previously downloaded to a user's mobile device from being overwritten by an error page when the page is not available during a later sync operation.
Refresh Rate – the rate at which the channel is refreshed. Options are:
Only Once - only during the initial sync.
Every Sync - every user sync.
Only Once Every - allows you to specify the refresh rate using the fields provided.
Click Finish to save the new group channel.
