Editing a Replication Server Function String

To edit a Replication Server function string, use the following procedure.

  1. Open Enterprise Explorer, and connect to your Replication Server.

  2. Expand the view for your Replication Server connection profile, select a primary database containing the function string, and expand the Function-String Classes folder.

  3. Expand the folder for the function-string class containing your function string, and expand the Function Strings folder.

  4. Right-click the function string you want to edit, and choose Edit from the context menu. The SQL for this function string appears in SQL Editor.

  5. Edit the function string. To save your changes, right-click in SQL Editor and choose Save As..., which saves the function string to a SQL file, or Save to Server. Alternately, you can choose Save to Server from the Database Tools menu in Sybase Workspace.

Note

You cannot edit a system object. If this function string is a system object, you can view its contents in SQL Editor, but you cannot save the changes.
