Troubleshooting

Identifying SQL Syntax Errors

Lines where code has been interrupted are indicated by green circles with a check mark inside. SQL syntax errors are identified by a red circle with a white x inside it. The incorrect syntax is also underlined with a red-line indicating the error.

If during a Run session, red error icons appear on both the left and right of the lines where the error occurred, place the cursor over any of these icons. The Content Assist feature indicates the nature of the error in terms of what syntax SQL Editor was expecting and lists alternative syntax from which to choose.

Problem: When creating a Web service from a stored procedure using the MyDatabase default connection profile, an error appears, "An error occured while saving the file. This is an inaccessible URL."

Resolution: Review Using the Default Connection Profiles; an edit to the startDemo.bat file may be required.
