Attaching a New Extended Model Definition to the Model
In your workspace, you already have created an OOM with a use case diagram containing an actor and 3 use cases.
You have to create a new extended model definition and import it into the current model before starting the profile definition.
Select Tools > Resources > Extended Model Definitions > Object-Oriented Model to open the List of Extended Model Definitions for an OOM.
Click the New tool to open the New Extended Model Definition dialog and enter the name Robustness_Extension.
Keep <Default Template> in the Copy From field.
Click OK to open a standard Save As dialog, and then click Save to open the new extended model definition in the Resource Editor.
Clear the Complement language generation check box, as this xem does not belong to any object language family and will not be used to complement any object language generation.
Click OK to close the Resource Editor, click Close in the List of Extended Model Definitions, and then click Yes when the Confirmation box asks you to save the extended model definition file.
Select Model > Extended Model Definitions to open the List of Extended Model Definitions.
Click the Import tool to open the Select Extensions dialog, select the Robustness_Extension xem on the General Purpose tab, and click OK to attach it to your model.
Click OK to close the list.
Right-click the model in the Browser, and select New > Communication Diagram in the contextual menu.
The diagram property sheet is displayed.
Enter the name Robustness Diagram and click OK to create the diagram.
