Running the IQ Agent

The IQ Agent must be running in order to do many multiplex operations (such as creating query servers) on Sybase Central. The IQ Agent generally is started whenever you reboot a Windows machine where IQ is installed. If you are planning to administer a multiplex, you may want to verify that the IQ Agent is running. For more about the IQ Agent, see “Specifying the Agent Port”.
