Setting PowerDesigner Eclipse Preferences

The PowerDesigner plugin for Eclipse provides options to customize your environment.

  1. In Eclipse, select Window > Preferences to open the Preferences dialog.
  2. Select Sybase, Inc > PowerDesigner or Enterprise Modeling and set preferences as appropriate:

    Close diagram editors on exit

    By default, when you restart Eclipse, any diagrams that were previously open will be automatically reloaded. Select this option to prevent reloading.

    Flag diagram editor as dirty if parent model requires save

    Select this option if you want to be reminded that a model has been modified before you save the changes.

    Automatically merge models on code-to-model synchronization

    Select this option if you want the merge process to be silent during reverse engineering.
  3. Click OK.
