Controlling Synchronization

Once you have synchronized your model and files, the synchronization tool and Synchronize/Unsynchronize contextual menu options become available for each file to permit you to disable or enable synchronization on a file-by-file basis.

Note that a record of the synchronization state of all the files in the solution is stored in a file with the name of the project or solution and the extension ".pdsync".

Select the file in the Solution Explorer. If the file is currently synchronized, the Synchronize tool is displayed as depressed in the Solution Explorer toolbar.
Click the Synchronize tool to change the state of the file. If the file was not previously synchronized, the Merge Model window will open to enable you to review the changes that synchronization will make.
