You can import objects listed in Excel files to any kind of model by using the Excel Import Sample extended model definition.
The Excel Import Sample extended model definition allows you to launch a wizard that guides you through mapping columns in Excel files to PowerDesigner object properties. This XEM is provided as an example of how you can import data from external file types, and is located at:
install_dir\Resource Files\Extended Model Definitions\ExcelImport.xem
