Creating a Repository Group

You can create groups from the Users and Groups screen.

  1. Click the Users and Groups tab and click on Groups on the left of the screen to display the list of groups.
  2. Click the New button, select to create a local or remote group, and enter a group and full name.
  3. [optional] Enter an email address and/or a description for the group.
  4. [optional] Click the Members tab and add any appropriate users to the group (see Adding a member to a group from the group's property sheet)
  5. [optional] Click the Rights tab and assign the group any appropriate rights (see Granting Rights to Users and Groups)
  6. Click the Save button to create the group and return to the list of groups.
Note:

You have to grant access rights to a new group in order for user members to inherit these permissions. If a user connects to the repository without access rights, he cannot see any document in the browser.
